VFW National Home for Children
The VFW National Home for Children helps people from across the country in a variety of ways.
we connect families with supportive services in their own community. Other times, intensive case management assistance resolves pressing issues. Our knowledge of veterans’ services and our connections to VFW Posts, Districts and Departments are an additional source of assistance we can access, that goes beyond traditional social services.
Assistance and connection to supportive services in your community are available by contacting the National Home Helpline at (800) 851-0238 or
by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.

Third District VFW Of Ohio Hospitality House
What is the Third District Hospitality House?
The Hospitality House is a joint venture between the Dayton VA Medical Center and District 3 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. This is the first Hospitality House to be operated by a service organization which is actually located on the grounds of a VA Medical Center.
Due to the extensive primary service area of the VA Medical Center, Dayton, which includes 22 counties in Ohio and one county in Indiana, families must often drive long distances to visit their loved ones. In addition, the VA Medical Center is not situated in an area of Dayton that provides close access to hotels or motels. Therefore, this Hospitality House was developed to meet the distinct need to provide convenient, comfortable, affordable overnight accommodations to families of seriously ill patients.
We are proud to be able to offer such a unique service to our patients and their families.
